Embellishments rule at this courtly boutique, decorated with tapestry-fabric furnishings and painted, rosy-hued panels. The European-designed clothes, ranging from size 4 to 12 (but cut smaller than American sizes), are all of a piece like sheer tops with knotted scarves by Anna Molinari, and Vivienne Westwood’s royally reconstructed dresses, as well as designs by Blugirl, Hoss, Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti, and Les Copains. Velvety pompoms and embroidery appear here and there among the silk, tweed, and cashmere garments, which are attractively grouped according to color—blues, greens, lilacs, blacks, and rusts, among others. There are also supple leather handbags and glossy, faceted-bead jewelry. Along with Upper East Side ladies, European tourists make up a significant part of the clientele, and are catered to with undivided attention.
