One of the most beloved kids’ consignment shops in the city, Jane’s Exhange, has found a space in the East Village. After losing her lease in Dec. 2005, co-owner Eva Dorsey found bigger and brighter digs four blocks away and quietly reopened. A special maternity section and a fabulous set of purple leather chairs, compliments of the Hotel Gansevoort, are ready for the expectant crowd. Kids’ clothing, always in excellent shape, goes from infant through teens. We nabbed a kid-size pair of leather Versace pants for peanuts. — Susan Avery
They now carry NEW GIFT merchandise! I was just in! They now carry new gift worthy merchandise making it a truly one-stop shopping experience. This time I found a really warm and "funky" winter coat for my daughter, a pair of play shoes for my son, a book for myself and "Santa Pee-Pee Teepees" (a real show-stopper!) as a shower gift for my husband's business partner. I was able to use my store credit for all but the new gift item and had money to spare for a large pizza and a DVD rental afterwards! I'm thrilled you're back, Jane's Exchange!
