Designed to resemble a traditional Navajo Pueblo, with sloping, faux-earth walls and an intimate, cave-like feel, Kokopelli carries a sophisticated selection of jewelry made by Native American craftsman in Arizona and New Mexico. Working with natural gems like turquoise and red coral, as well as the more exotic Australian fire opal and pink mother of pearl, Kokopelli’s artisan offerings far outstrip the typical, Southwestern tourist-luring trinkets. Find Hopi belt buckles with sterling silver detail, or Zuni pendants and rings with 18K gold settings. In addition to men’s rings and many unisex-suitable necklaces and pendants, Kokopelli also features a selection of Alaskan walrus tusk figurines displaying native wildlife. The store also does a brisk business in cuff bracelets of all kinds, some intricately decorated with oyster shells, amethyst and cobalt-blue lapis.
