Profile

This paint-spattered pizza parlor turned boutique looks like a Jackson Pollock canvas. La Lumia introduced a bold, eclectic collection: motorcycle sweaters, boiled-wool jackets with embroidery, two-tone satin-lined cashmere sweaters, and a flouncy short skirt in cotton-rayon with a roll top.

Shopping at La Lumia is always a joy. Perhaps because the owner is a desinger, she has a knack for helping put together looks that work for my body. The store has a varied collection of clothes jewelery and accessories. The clothes are well made and work on women of different ages & sizes. In addition, the prices are good. It is my downtown place to shop!

This is the BEST!

I am lucky enough to have this store, LaLumia, only a couple of blocks from where I live and work. I go in 2 or 3 times a month to see what's new. There's a variety of styles, sizes and colors. Oh, and a great selection of really fine jewelry. You may browse on your own or get assistance from the owner (she also designs and makes some of the clothing), who is a wonderful person and very accommodating.Wait! I almost forgot; they also offer basic alterations at no cost. Make a point of checking this place out: don't miss it!
