This luxe two-story store with its spiral staircase and plush sofas accented with fur pillows is a fitting home for Lambertson Truex’s high-end handbags. The American brand has figured out how to make traditionally weighty crocodile-skin bags as light as a canvas tote, and all its bags are Italian-made with careful attention to detail and texture. Softly structured handbags and carry-alls in croc and ostrich flaunt suede interiors with zippered pockets and cell phone holders. A circular table downstairs displays the brand’s slim satin clutches in smooth and quilted finishes and a rich palette of colors. Shoppers can also choose the skin, color, and engraving on some of the bags through the shop’s customization service, which takes 12 to 16 weeks. And although the handbags are the store’s staple, there are also men’s and women’s shoes, ties, belts, leather journals, and sturdy, leather-handled umbrellas that exhibit the same fine craftsmanship.Sales
