Profile

Anyone who's lived in a New York apartment knows that space is of the essence, but this tiny East Village housewares shop proves that style doesn't have to be sacrificed in the face of limited square footage. Tucked into a rather unassuming block, Lancelotti's quirky, mod style easily fits into the same neighborhood as its Alphabet City sister store (aptly named Alphabets). Lancelotti's stock includes Boom coffee tables and nesting cube—their sleek, compact design make them favorites among the space-conscious—plus a large assortment of colorful kitchenware from big names Jonathan Adler and Nigella Lawson. Browsers who make it past the Thomas Paul silk and wool throw pillows can check out the Dwell linens and whimsical Waterware shower curtains in the back. Of course, no home decor store would be complete without a selection of scented candles; Lancelotti's carries Votivo and The Thymes. In fact, there's a little bit of everything for the urban home (or apartment) packed into this place. And don't worry if you can't carry all your purchases back to the walk-up: Lancelotti's offers local delivery.
