The original place for disposable fashion— in one week, out the next—this Canadian-based store offers trendy looks that won’t break the bank, like a summer-perfect white lace skirt and a beaded halter guaranteed to turn heads. Chez le Château, clothes are arranged by ensemble; coordinating tops and bottoms hang behind mannequins wearing the featured garb, and matching accessories are displayed alongside each look. Women’s and junior girls clothes are on one floor, while men’s fashions—mainly casual button downs, weekend-comfy shorts and plenty of T-shirts—are upstairs. High ceilings, hanging lamps and an energetic, youth-charged atmosphere make this spot a fun place to browse for party and club clothes with a gaggle of girlfriends. But be warned: Some of the European-inspired items might look passable in the store, but don’t always translate as happily on the street. — Jeannette Park
