Despite the come-hither name, there are no pink walls, gilt mirrors, or satin-covered hangers at this newsstand-sized shop in the MetLife Building, which caters largely to commuting career women. Wall displays of Hanes, DKNY, and Calvin Klein hosiery constitute what could be called the shop’s decor, accented by racks of lacy tops, synthetic activewear, and colorful mesh boyshorts. There’s little silk to be found, but plenty of boutique brands: Thongs by Cosabella, Hanky Panky, and the cheekily named, seamless brand Commando figure prominently, as do Only Hearts and Arianne camisoles, supportive Spanx shapers, and opaque Hue tights. The legwear tends toward nudes and conservative patterns, with red fishnets on the fringes of the spectrum. A small selection of bras and microfiber inner-outerwear (for layering under a jacket) is also among the stock. With its corporate clientele in mind, the store opens early and closes fairly late, allowing commuters to replace a snagged pair of stockings, pick up workout clothes, or simply stock up on necessary unmentionables while heading to or leaving the office.
