If your Yorkie rolls his eyes every time you fill his bowl, maybe you should be shopping at Litter & Leashes, which possesses a huge variety of gourmet food for cats and dogs. The crowded, tiny shop’s shelves are lined floor to ceiling with brands like Fromm, Merrick, Newman’s Own, and Canine Caviar (available gluten- and grain-free). There’s also a dizzying selection of cat and dog treats with names like Pup Corn and Gooberlicious, plus a large rack of chew toys near the front door. Although food, snacks, and toys make up the bulk of the stock, customers can also find a good selection of shampoo, pet carriers, bowls, the requisite “princess” doggie tees, and, yes, leashes and lots of litter. Karen or "Special K" was like a super hero for me! Amazing service! Crosstown delivery with a special prescription dog food (that 10 other vets and stores in the city didn't have) was purchased and delivered in les than an hour! Courteous, professional and funny too boot! Awesome selection including Royal Canin and other top foods and gourmet treats. That's just for my dog! Their selection of cat stuff is equally as impressive. I imagine there will be more Litter and Leashes stores and one popping up in your neighborhood soon! Michael F.
