After three years designing clothes at the Market NYC and EDGE ny, Lois Eastlund opened her own store in the former Peggy Pardon vintage-store space across from Pianos. Her mod aesthetic is reflected in the dark-paneled space featuring accents like knockoff red-and-white Saarinen tulip chairs. Eastlund hand-creates virtually all the clothing from an assortment of materials. Plaid flannel, a long-sleeved minidress, a two-tone dress of bathing-suit fabric, a miniskirt made of wide- and thin-wale purple corduroys, and a yarn-knit mini in camouflage colors are all in the mix. Shelves showcase wool newsboy caps and jewelry, both designed by her friends from EDGE ny. The remainder of the offerings are vintage, including clutches, ties, and shirts.
