Profile

This venue is closed.

From the catwalklike entrance to the fully equipped D.J. booth, it’s clear why Lounge is a favorite among red-carpet celebrities like Usher, Diddy, Kate Hudson, and Naomi Campbell. Owner Jack Menashe describes his 16,000-square-foot space as “Soho’s only designer and lifestyle emporium”—in simpler terms, this means men’s and women’s specialty denim, big-name fashion labels, and whatever "It" brand the celebs are currently sporting. If the clothing doesn’t get your blood pumping, the D.J. will; in fact, record-spinning aficionados from around the city come here to scope out some of the hottest and rarest house and world music in circulation. Accessories, including men’s and women’s jewelry, are limited to handmade, one-of-a-kind pieces and includes both rock-and-roll styles from designers such as Prince Ferdinand and more romantic pieces by names like Licia Atelier. The entire lower level is devoted to shoes, showcasing everything from specialty sneakers by Gola to sexy stilettos by Marc Jacobs and Anna Sui. Befitting its name, the Casablanca Tea Room at the back of serves an exotic selection of cocktails, teas, and tapas for a relaxing pause amid such head-spinning activity.

They said a coat retailed for $1200, and were selling it on sale for $690. I had wanted this same coat at NY Look a week before and they said their retail price for this coat was $695!! LOUNGE LIED!! Junk Food tshirts cost $30 retail. LOUNGE retail: $70 and sold it on sale for $35!! more than the actual retail price normally!! THEY ARE CHEATERS!!!!

They are going out of business marking everything 50% off. But what they are really doing is marking everything up in Retail and then taking 50% off their absurd markup - therefore you are paying the actual Retail price that other stores sell it at.
