Sparkly enough to be eye-catching and subtle enough to wear every day, the jewelry at this small boutique skirts street trends for classic interpretations, and each glittering stone is more dazzling than the next. After hawking her wares outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art and lower Fifth Avenue for years, FIT graduate Elise Perelman opened her own Soho boutique in 2005. The pint-size space with an enchanted, charmingly cluttered feel displays Perelman’s own colorful designs next to those by other local artisans like Michael Michoud, whose bronze-cast nature-inspired pieces are shown alongside pieces like Stacy Miller’s unique crocheted pendants and earrings. From colorful Swarovski-crystal toggle bracelets to cluster rings of freshwater pearls to emerald chandelier earrings set in fourteen-karat gold, each piece reiterates Perelman’s singular eye for fine craftsmanship and timeless design.
