This Montreal-based brand brings its classic leather handbags, leather coats, and feathery knitwear to its first two stateside outposts. Both its Soho and Madison Avenue locations are minimally adorned with white furniture and blond wood floors. The real focus here is the leather, dyed in an array of white, gray, and jewel-tone shades, from tiny clutches to long trenches. Tall white shelves display the large collection of bags for women and men, featuring laptop bags, totes, carry-ons, and the popular “knot” styles—unadorned leather handbags with a stylishly knotted strap. Coats of varying lengths and colors hang in neat rows, from cropped jackets to overcoats, and nearby mannequins model the label’s line of silky, slouchy cashmere sweaters. Sophisticated outerwear accessories are laid out on wooden tables, including soft linen scarves and thick, cozy mittens woven from yak down. Giftable small leather goods are propped near the register, like wallets, CD cases, change pouches, and passport covers.
