Profile

Owner Susan Leelike has been accumulating vintage clothing, costume jewelry and ephemera for over 30 years, and Magic Fingers houses the sum of her  lovingly curated collection. There are items at this quirky little East Village store that you simply can't find anywhere else, and the prices run the gamut from $20 for a 60s high school charm bracelet to $750 for an authentic Maxfield Parrish print. They stock plenty of vintage designer women’s clothing, but especially appealing are the accessories—colorful Bakelite bangles and original Whiting and Davis mesh purses from the 30s.

I have lived in the East Village for several years now, but finding this Thrift Store was a nice surprise and made my day. Unlike other vintage stores with 80s handbags and rock tshirts, this one has items collected over the years and not something you can get overnight. The prices were reasonable. The owner was very stylish herself and very friendly. I got there a beautiful YSL suede evening purse and will go back there regularly.
