Profile
Following the success of Maison 24’s Bridgehampton location, siblings Allison Julius and Louis Marra brought their edgy aesthetic to Park Avenue in July 2011. Home accessories that effortlessly combine street art with high style fill the sleek space. Contemporary chandeliers hang from the ceiling, photographs and paintings cover the walls, and then there is a selection of hard-to-find furniture, like those from Jimmie Martin, who transforms vintage armoires, couches, and chairs into modern designs (there is also in-house customizable furniture collection that employs Lucite and acrylic). Tucked away in the back is the Rory Dobner Shop-In-Shop— the pair discovered the U.K. artist on a London buying trip and now offers his drawings along with home adornments printed with his illustrations. Other exclusive artwork includes photography by Dirk Westphal and pop art from Camomile Hixon. There’s also an eclectic and well-curated selection of gifts—sparkly accessories, a scented candle modeled after Marra’s cologne and even the duo’s favorite salad dressing—adding to the store’s wacky charm.
