Founded by Parisian designer Judith Milgrom in 1998, Maje offers sophisticated interpretations of modern Parisian fashions. With a palette predominantly comprised of neutrals, Maje focuses on sexy staples with unique accents. Polished-silk blouses are paired neatly with fitted trousers, tailored miniskirts, and classic calfskin clutches; wool coats take on a boxy menswear-inspired aesthetic, and leather jackets and vests feature delicately paneled lamb’s wool. Designs are organized by collection for pairing convenience, and while the security guard planted firmly on the border of the two-room space feels a bit impersonal, the paneled wood floors, whitewashed walls, and large windows keep things warm and inviting. — Catie Keck
