Max Azria’s eponymous collection is far more upscale than the clingy party dresses and girlie separates that he introduced in 1989 with BCBG. After debuting to considerable fanfare during New York Fashion Week in winter 2006, the Max Azria label found a home in this West Broadway store, where the centerpiece of three large tree trunks are symbolic of how solid a favorite the brand has become among celebrities and the city’s fashionable elite. The shop, albeit small, has an extensive array of the brand’s latest collections and pictures of the latest runway looks on display. The racks teem with everything from chunky knits to color-blocked silks to elegantly draped eveningwear.
