This bright, Greek flag-festooned Mediterranean market shares space in the same mini-mall as a cardiologist and a gastroenterologist, but there's no need to be alarmed: The Mediterranean diet is among the healthiest. While English-only customers will have to do a bit of detective work, as the bulk of foods don't have printed translations, the staff will gladly answer any questions. Honeys, jams, coffees, pastas, pickled veggies and frozen foods—like moussaka, spanikopita and octopus—are among the assortment of packaged goods filling the aisles. The real draw, however, is the fresh-food selection: a self-serve olive bar, an enormous yogurt section, baskets of dried fish, and a cheese counter in the back with more than ten kinds of feta.
