Profile
Fashionable neighborhood women in search of a “bargain” steal away to this two-floor consignment shop situated above a deli. The used designer merchandise is virtually untouched, with nary a dainty tread worn off the Prada and Louboutin heels. Nothing is more than two years old, save for the occasional vintage piece from Chanel, Hermès, or Pucci. The shop splits proceeds 50/50 with the consignors — often Upper East Siders who retire their clothes and accessories as soon as the season changes. Prices are usually set at half the original retail value and can soar as high as $6,500 for fur coats or a Birkin bag. Brides-to-be head for the upstairs back wall to hunt for deals on designer wedding gowns.
Monthly MarkdownsIf an item’s out of your budget, check back in a month. Everything is marked down 20 percent each of the first two months it’s in the store. In the third month, it’s finally reduced by 50 percent.
