Profile
Located on a postcard-pretty, tree-lined street, Mish New York's intricately designed space is filled with high-end jewelry that marries whimsy to nature in refined, urbane, modern pieces. Occupying the lower floor of a midblock townhouse, Mish's three rooms are painted in bright pastels and furnished with elegant, antique display cases. Sotheby's veteran Mish Tworkowski designs all the pieces—some from his office on the premises—and often creates individual items for specific clients. Representative baubles include sparkling, diamond-studded, starfish-shaped coral earrings, matching charm bracelet optional, as well as a stately triple strand necklace of bright, honey-yellow citrine beads. Mish is also known for creations featuring plump, gumball-sized South Sea island pearls, like his coral and bamboo ring and toggle necklace of round, smoke-grey pearls and 18-karat white gold. Men aren't left out here, since Mish crafts a few sets of ornate cufflinks each year.

Wedding RingsSocialites—and others with 10021-caliber bank accounts—adore designer Mish Tworkowski's statusy but non-stuffy creations. And while you won't find any cushion-cut diamond rings or plain gold wedding bands in this inviting townhouse, you will see sweet eighteen-karat-gold bamboo-shaped bands and eighteen-karat-white-gold ones with a circling row of raised stars. Prices upon request.
