At the sole U.S. location of the entirely family owned and operated label—the daughter of founders Ottavio and Rosita Missoni is now head of design; granddaughter Margherita graces the fragrance ads—every gleaming surface reflects the luxurious and European outlook of the typical Missoni customer. The women’s line, accessorized with sky-high platform heels and candy-colored sunglasses, varies with the season but always retains the brand's easy glamour, which means breezy wrap tops and tunics, simple tank dresses, long and lean sweaters and cardigans, and the ultimate Missoni item: the itsy-bitsy string bikini. Upstairs houses a small menswear collection nestled near impressive zebra-print columns, as well as the home collection of towels, dinnerware, and even teddy bears, all emblazoned with the brand’s famous zigzag stripes. — Leaya Lee
