This small East Village gift shop offers jewelry, bath and beauty products, home accents, and an extensive array of sweet-smelling candles. Maima Sonii opened the store in spring 2008 as a compliment to her womenswear boutique, Miss Sonii, located just down the street. The small, scented space is decorated with pale green walls and a smattering of hanging plants. Beauty potions are piled near the register, including violet, peach, and vanilla flavored lip balms from Gal Collection and solid perfumes from Pacifica. Shelves of body products display a range of scrubs, lotions, and body washes, including Erbaviva’s organic, ecofriendly line, gift sets from Get Fresh, and Savon de Thé’s pretty triple-milled tea soaps. Above, curvy, classic, and modern provide elegant home accents, while low tables hold small gifts like passport covers, chandelier earrings, headbands, and picture frames. But the collection of long-lasting candles from brands like Voluspa and Archipelago supplies the largest variety, available in unusual scents like vanilla tobacco, blood orange, and chai tea masala.
