Since 1987 MyOptics has delivered funky, colorful frames to the East Village avant-garde. On-site labs cut prescription lenses for frames in styles ranging from horn-rimmed to rimless. An optometrist is available for consultations and fittings, so although your frames may not be ready in LensCrafters speed, the unique selection and knowledgeable staff makes the wait worthwhile. For those with 20/20 vision who don’t have much use for the edgy offerings from I.C. Berlin, Alain Mikli, and Paul Smith, MyOptics has a selection of sunglasses, too, which includes Brigitte Bardot–inspired shades by Oliver Peoples and classic Ray Ban Wayfarers. — Alexis Brunswick
