I went up to NYC from Philly to make an engagement ring. Sam is really helpful--very personable and intelligent about his work, but he also slows down to really explain things to you and help you through the process. At the end of the day, I had a beautiful engagement ring that I had made myself, and I know that it is a good quality ring b/c of NY Wedding Ring's expertise. I highly recommend this workshop for anyone who wants to add a personal touch to an important life event.
Sams workshop turned what would otherwise have been a forgettable yet painful experience into an engaging (hah!) and rewarding time. Sam helped from the beginning and provided great insight into every single part of the ring, ranging from choosing the setting to designing the ring to selecting gemstones and even advice on presenting the ring.
Besides being extremely helpful in all stages of production, Sam went above and beyond for me, creating an extremely unique engagement ring that required him to block off extra time and stay up late multiple nights. He even kept working on the ring when I had to leave to make sure that it was ready for the big day. Sam was also helpful in providing eco-gold and lab-created materials to lessen the impact on the environment.
Most importantly, my fiancé absolutely loved the fact that I put my own time and effort into it (being able to write a check isnt everything). Anyone can just blindly hand a credit card over to the counter girl at Tiffanys so why not enjoy yourself and make her something no one else in the world has?
