Former fashion stylist Jen McCulloch opened this intimate, high-end vintage clothing boutique in 2001, as Carroll Gardens was joining Brooklyn’s cache of "it" neighborhoods. After years of independent collecting, filling the 400-square-foot spacemostly with flirty dresses befitting proms, weddings, and carefree summer dayscame easily. McCulloch focuses on finding pieces that no one else will have, and for that she has garnered a dedicated following of locals, stylists, and costumers who are willing to pay a sometimes hefty price for designer labels like Oscar de la Renta, Pucci, and Betsey Johnson. Quirky pumps, boots, and sandals line the floor and glamorous accessories (necklaces, tiaras, bracelets) fill glass-fronted cases. The DIY girl will appreciate the baskets of old Vogue sewing patterns by the register and notions like buttons, lace, and fabric.
