Profile

Decorated with little more than pictures of smiling ladies modeling giant white brassieres, this small Lower East Side shop is cluttered with countless boxes of bras stacked floor-to-ceiling against the walls. The first order of business here is finding customers the right size bra because—according to store owners Peggy and Ralph—they’re almost always wearing the wrong one. After sizing a woman up (usually using nothing more than the naked eye), the owners direct her to one of the makeshift changing areas in the back and bring her some traditional styles to sample from names like Bally, Champion, Crepe Suzette, Goddess, Olga, and Wacoal. Brides-to-be come for strapless versions, girdles, or corsets, while others order brightly colored, elaborately designed custom-made corsets to use as tops or lingerie.

Key Departments

Bridal

This shop carries undergarments from sizes 32AA to 56L, and owner Peggy Berg can guess just about anyone’s size by looking at them. Women come here for customized satin or lace corsets by Goddess, Wacoal, Crêpe-Suzette, and Carnival ($40 to $80), or Edwardian-style whalebone lace-ups ($50 to $70).

The head supervisor right now is named "Jessica" and I recieved a shaper from their website crepe-suzette.com which had deodorant stains in it. I immediately contacted them to tell them via email and telephone. After 2 days I finally got a hold of someone and she said she would make a note of it and refund me later. I mailed it back for about 15 dollars and she then tells me she wont return it because it has stains in it. I KNOW THATS WHY IM RETURNING IT! So now I am out over 100 dollars because of this stupid company. I have reported them to the BBB and aparently they already know what a crappy company they are because they recieved and "F" in their rating. DO NOT BUY FROM ANY ONLINE JLK & ASSOCIATES SITE! THEY WILL SCAM YOU!

I ordered 2 corsets from this place, tried them on and didn't like them at all. I attempted to return them and they were rejected for a refund. They then offered to dispose of the items for me, which is totally asinine so that i am out the product and my money. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.
