Profile
Formerly a regular on the beauty-pageant circuit, Paige Adams-Gellar’s shapely proportions landed her steady gigs as a fit model for high-end denim brands like 7 for All Mankind, Citizens of Humanity, Habitual, and True Religion throughout the nineties and early aughts. In 2004. Adams-Gellar launched her own denim label, complete with design tweaks meant to flatter all body types: low-, mid-, or high-rise waists, various back-pocket styles, and boot-cut, skinny, or peg-leg bottoms. The company opened its first East Coast flagship in December 2008, joining the same fashionable meatpacking strip as fellow denim authority Earnest Sewn. White walls, gleaming black wood floors, and vases of orchids lend a slick, upscale vibe. Denim in black, white, and various shades of blue is stacked in neat cubbies, while dresses, tops, and trousers from the higher-end Paige Black Label hang on rolling racks. A smaller selection of men’s jeans are available for denim aficionados of the opposite sex, with a sizable array of boot-cut, straight-leg, relaxed, loose-fit, slim, and distressed varieties.
