Profile
Pandora’s first Manhattan concept store lets women assemble their own jewelry to fit their personalities and tastes. Hundreds of charms—arguably the store’s most popular accessory since its 2000 launch—made from gold, silver and even brightly-colored funky-patterned Murano glass are available to adorn bracelets. And pendants embedded with precious stones come in various shapes and colors and can be used to accessorize thin chain necklaces or compose earrings. Pandora encourages women to stack their jewelry and prices (some) items accordingly—one plain sterling silver ring can cost as little as $30, while a potential accompanying ring adorned with one stone starts at $35. Pandora also sells bangles in collections such as “Liquid Silver,” whose designs resemble the movement and fluidity of water, and watches, some of which can be bought with interchangeable bezels and bands, rendering the product customizable long after the customer’s purchase.
