Profile
This high-end spot displays Paolo Costagli’s vibrant bracelets, necklaces, and earrings against an impressive view of the skyline. The Italian designer traveled a long way to his Manhattan post: He dug gemstone mines in Colombia and dealt emeralds in Bogotá before opening his first New York boutique in 1991. The collection combines colorful gemstones like green peridot, pink sapphire, mandarin garnet, and turquoise in understated arrangements inspired by the art and architecture of his hometown of Florence. Every piece of jewelry sold here is produced in a midtown workshop, allowing Costagli to oversee every step of production. Costagli also sells his “very p.c.” line of white-gold and platinum jewelry—including pendant necklaces—at Bergdorf Goodman, starting at $1,000.
