Each visit to this long, narrow, disorganized party supply store can seem completely different from the last, because every month or so, approximately three-quarters of its stock is swapped out for the next holiday’s necessary goods. So come Halloween, it’s a mecca for costumes and face paint, while nearer to Christmas, it’s packed with tinsel and Santa hats. This constant come-and-go often creates a chaotic environment of half-unpacked cardboard boxes.
