In spite of its name, this small shop in the heart of the West Village only sells puppies small enough to fit in a Manhattan studio—Yorkies, dachshunds, Maltese, and pugs, among others—all sourced from a small group of private breeders in the New York area. While the space is cramped, the animals are reasonably priced and up-to-date on all of their shots—and the store pays for their first physical at the vet. A monthly installment payment plan is available, plus a boarding service for pets purchased there. Though there are no parrots on hand, there are plenty of supplies to care for an avian companion: seed from brands such as Scarlett, Noah's Kingdom, Ambrosia, and Sun Seed; carriers by Wingabago; perches made of concrete and plastic; and lots of toys in the shape of bagels and kebabs. For dogs, there's wet and dry food, Mendota leashes and harnesses, sherpa carriers, muttluks dog boots, vitamin supplements, and more.
