You’d never guess this offbeat pharmacy, with its earth-toned wood paneling, New Age music, and universe of natural health products, is part of the CVS family. Its storefront tables display scented candles, incense, and Archipelago-reed diffuser sets, and the shelves are filled with an astounding array of Burt’s Bees, Traditional Medicinals, and Dr. Bronner products — the latter available in one-gallon jugs. Racks of Boiron homeopathic pellets and an entire wall of herbal supplements round out the New-Age offerings. But pharmaceutical standards have a place here, too: Cough and allergy medicines, lotions, shampoos, and all-natural Tom’s toothpaste are given their proper credit.
