Located a stone’s throw from Fort Greene Park, this tiny takeout shop sells everything you need for an alfresco lunch. To get started, there are ecofriendly, reusable picnic gear and containers for sale: BPA-free Kleen Kanteen water bottles, to-go coffee mugs, lightweight utensils, and blankets. A selection of old-school toys like kites, portable Ping-Pong sets, and wooden planes are on hand to entertain kids in the park. The edible offerings include a sandwich menu that should please the palates of both adults (smoked whitefish with herbs, grilled Gouda with truffle oil) and children (tuna with green grapes, almond butter with jelly), as well as salads, fresh fruit, and pastries. To drink, there’s a full variety of coffee and Mayan espresso drinks, fresh fruit juices and smoothies, and a cooler full of organic teas and spritzers.
