Profile
Grace Kang, a former buyer for Bloomingdale's, Saks and Barneys, opened this cozy 500-square-foot East Village shop in May 2007. The name reflects both Kang’s love of olives and the favorite color of her young niece, whose watercolor painting of a butterfly accents the quaint space’s exposed-brick, shabby-chic décor. Louis Spitton and Burpberry onesies, animal-shaped soaps, themed journals, colorful stuffed animals from Moroccan brand Zid Zid, and vintage-inspired jewelry from local designer Erica Weiner all are playful without being overly cute. There’s also a budding collection of vintage dresses and shoes, as well as cover-ups, flip-flops, and swimsuits.
