Profile
Former Wall Street trader Peter Hsia and Pratt alum Ryo Liu teamed up to form this import store focused on stylish, often Asian womenswear at affordable prices. “The collection is basically a reflection of Ryo’s personal style: cute, feminine, and versatile,” says the affable Hsia, who works in tandem with his partner to scout out designers from Korea and Japan, as well as the States, sold under the Pinkyotto label. The pocket-size boutique itself resembles a well-edited closet with lace ruffled tops, patterned cotton baby-doll dresses, silky skirts, and oversize cotton sweaters that echo Chloé, Stella, or Marni at a fraction of the price. Accessories addicts will gravitate to the metallic clutches, eighties-inspired sequined belts, and slate-colored patent-leather pumps.
