I wish I read the other reviews before I did this but I got an email about a big Portico sale. I ordered and bought a couch through their website. It said delivery within a week. When a week came and went, I called them and was told that the model I ordered was so popular that it's back ordered and that they would contact me once it's ready to be shipped. Probably by the end of the month. Now a month and a half has passed and their website no longer works and their phone number is disconnected! I had no idea the company had gone bankrupt a while back. I guess they were just scamming people for cash through their website!!!
They're Bankrupt. You'll never get your furniture!
Portico is Bankrupt. I will never get my furniture. A fact that I just found out after already placing a 50% deposit down on the furniture and waiting 3 months for its delivery. After the delivery due date came and went, without a single call from the Company, I called the Broadway store, and was told that they have no way of checking the status of my order, the Company went bankrupt, and that they couldn't deliver the furniture or refund the deposit. Rather "to make myself feel better," I was told that I could go to the store, file a claim against the Company, and step in line with the rest of Portico's creditors. To make things worse, I just received my credit card statement and apparently they charged me for the full balance on the furniture last month, without my knowledge, and again without acutally getting any furniture in return. I called my credit card co. and they credited back the charge.
