With a name like Posh Pets, it’s no secret this store is dedicated to some serious pampering. Instead of flimsy plastic chew toys and beef-flavored biscuits, here you’ll find cat wands made from real peacock feathers and white-meat chicken treats for dogs. Foodie Fidos can also chow down on freshly baked dog cookies, organic biscuits made with peanut butter and carrots, and wheat-free kibble in flavors like blueberry cobbler and chicken pot pie. Cat wipes, disposable dog diapers, and all manner of leashes also line the shelves in this teensy space. But for many loyal clients, it’s the grooming and full spa services that are the true draw. The resident groomer has almost two decades of experience gently sudsing and trimming cats, dogs, and even rabbits under his belt. Spa treatments include facials, aromatherapy (with scents like pink grapefruit and vanilla-white tea), and a bubble-bath manicure (with milk thistle and vitamin-enriched bath oils). And while owners are getting their own R&R, boarding is available for between $25 to $50 a day.
