Profile

Believe it or not, it’s easy to miss Puma’s signature sneakers at the brand’s retail stores. The lion’s share of the space in these bright shops is dedicated to stylish and sporty jeans, jackets, handbags, and watches. Even non-wearables—like the collapsible bikes designed for the urban commuter—get prime placement. (The bikes, like many of the items in the store, are co-branded with another company.) But Puma’s bread and butter is still its footwear—sneakers dominated by futuristic features like tiny bright rubber spikes protruding from the toes or flame-patterned soles with deep, round craters. If many of the styles are on the outrageous side, relax: The classic two-color Suede is still for sale, too. You just have to do some digging to find it.

Super hip store for the "pedestrian athletic" types. The line got a bit out of hand at check out time, but the selection was mad and the DJ was nice! The shoe room downstairs can be a headache and the help a bit stand-offish, but that little shorty from Cali that helped me was very chill...(thanks for the red 5100s).
