This generously stocked men’s shirting and denim shop attempts to be the antidote to staid Banana Republic fare, delivering boldly patterned button-downs and jeans in unusual, bright hues. The store favors pieces from hard-to-find designers in the rows of shirts lining the entryway, like Bogosse’s European styles featuring double-button patterns and contrasting stitching, 1 Like No Other’s limited-edition numbers with complementary cuffs, and Robert Graham’s artistic prints, all ranging from $80 to $200. A checkerboard of denim-filled cubbies spans the back wall, displaying select styles from around ten designers. Rather than the usual dark staples, these jeans are meant to be statement-making, including bright and baby blues from Naked and Famous, and Buckler varieties sporting distinctive pockets. A true haberdashery, the store doesn’t skimp on accessories. Dozens of distressed-leather belts (with several vegetable-tanned styles) feature one-of-a-kind vintage buckles and stylish studs. In addition, dressy accent pieces are also dotted throughout, like Guy Feler ties, ribbon-trimmed Grace Hats, and the noteworthy cuff-link collection that ranges from classic—hand-blown glass and hammered metals—to modern, including a light-up variety popular for wedding-party gifting.
