Everyone loves a caftan! At this immensely discreet Upper East Side shop, Freymann has plenty, as well as ponchos, hand-knit sweaters, wool scarves, and shearlings. She spends her life globe-trotting to far-flung marketplaces and bazaars, and brings the treasures home for the lucky few who know which bell to ring. Another attraction is that she keeps the prices down: not exactly what you'd find in Marrakesh or Bangalore, but quite a bit better than over on Madison.
