Former Alvin Ailey dancer Rosie Pope opened this maternity boutique after struggling to find stylish clothes while pregnant. The space is posh and palatial—with towering ceilings, glass chandeliers, and cascading drapes that pull back to reveal ample changing rooms with cushioned seats. Complimentary car service to the store and virgin "mimosas" served in Champagne flutes add a personal touch. Using stretchy Italian fabrics like cashmere and jersey silk and classic designs for trench coats and cocktail dresses, Rosie Pope’s in-house label creates ready-to-wear, evening, and couture pieces designed for all stages of pregnancy. There are button-up shirts, silk blouses, suits, cashmere sweaters, knit minidresses, wide-leg pants, and sexy couture pieces like a sweeping gold knit gown with a deep V-neck. Accessories include lace thongs, tanks, tights, and teddies by Swiss company Zimmerli and leather and nylon diaper bags that mimic fashionable handbags.
