  • Musical Instruments

Rudy’s Music in midtown, whose clientele over the past 32 years has included Mick Jagger and John Mayer, expanded to Soho in December 2009 with what owner and enigmatic collector Rudy Pensa rightfully calls a “guitar gallery.” The 2,400-square-foot tri-level space— more musical shrine than guitar shop—contains over 100 vintage hand-built acoustic and electric models. None cheap, all gorgeous. Gibsons and Fenders start at $2,000, while retro rarities or models from boutique producers like Froggy Bottom and Collings can reach $200,000.
