The Downtown Dream Hotel’s Safira boutique is only 200 square feet, but it’s stocked with plenty of upscale travel items. Dita, Prism, and Oliver Peoples sunglasses line one wall, while another houses men’s shirts, hats, and even pocket squares. For women, there are cocktail-party-ready Wren dresses, plus statement jewelry from the likes of Fenton Fallon. Sure, there are basic travel goods of the ChapStick, candy, and socks variety, but there are also alligator-skin passport cases, sting ray bracelets, and Alexander Nash shirts, tailored in-store. Not to mention items like Vita Fede rings and exclusive Atelier fragrances, which occasionally draw in savvy locals.
