Profile
What the deliberately streamlined Scoop stores lack in design panache, they make up for in trendy fashion, well-known labels, and vast selection, with 100+ designers of women’s wear represented. Girls-about-town in need of embroidered Joe’s jeans, beaded clutches or an Alice+Olivia blazer head to Scoop’s many city locations for going-out clothing and accoutrements. Theory and Habitual are mainstays here, as are more mainstream lines like Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors and Stella McCartney. Beachcombers and resorters like the summer bikini selection and the Havaiana flip-flops that fill aluminum tubs. With men’s stores that carry James Perse polos and Mason pants, and a children’s store next to their Meatpacking District location, Scoop makes it easy for the whole family to don stylish threads.

I hate this store. I received the worst service when trying to find some jeans. And the selection sucked. Sorry to be rude, but I was very disapointed. I had heard this store hyped up, but it failed to deliver. Some of the stuff was cute, but overly expensive for what it was. I have no problem spending money for quality, but I felt like it was such a rip off. I guess we're paying for those fluorecent bags they use...
I think that although this boutique has a nice layout, the customer service sucks. The staff acts like i should be privileged to shop at their boutique --- they don't greet you when you walk in, they don't offer help... they just stand there. I think it would be more tolerable if their products were exclusive and limited, but if I can find the same exact products -- diane von furstenberg, marc jacobs, Theory, Tracy Reese, etc --- I shop at Bergforf Goodman or Bloomies (where the customer service is excellent). It's a competitive market out there and with other stores like Big Drop, French Corner, and the New York Look right around the corner from Scoop, they should step up with something and if it can't be their product, then at least their attitude.
