Peruvian native Sergio Davila introduced his men’s line in 2003 and two years later opened this shop in the meatpacking district. The store is sleek, well lit, and tiny. Davila designs casualwear that is more sophisticated than trendy, and his clothes are tied to his South American heritage; a Peruvian company called Barrington San Miguel Industrial Textiles supplies his fabrics. Wool trousers, jeans, and button-front shirts are cut slim, and come mostly in black, gray, and dark blue. The alpaca sweaters and sweater vests are generally muted, but do incorporate brighter colors in geometrical patterns. A limited women’s collection of knit dresses and tanks is also on offer.
