This Chelsea store has been shilling comfy, funky shoes for more than twenty years. The owner scopes out well-constructed global lines at footwear shows in Vegas — Naot sandals from Israel, Worishofer cork wedges from Germany, chunky Joy Chen heels from China, and shapely United Nude slides from Denmark. Colder months bring an impressive influx of fur-lined, quilted, and rubber boots for braving slushy city streets. Although the worn carpet and dated décor hints at the store’s age, the selection is broad and orderly. The focus is on cushy details like padded footbeds and durable soles, with few styles sporting heels higher than two inches. But although the shop caters to comfort, the offerings aren’t bland. Clogs are patterned in colorful swirls, sandal straps come in metallic or patent leather, and wedge heels feature cut outs or contrasting material.
