Welcome to knob, handle, pull, switchplate, and door-hardware nirvana. Simon’s is a universe unto itself in the galaxy of domestic hardware. Neophytes can get overwhelmed in the flagship store, but take heart: Experienced staff are at the ready to guide and inform even the least-savvy DIY novice. From the seemingly endless aisles featuring every kitchen nozzle, fixture, and switch you’ll ever need (and many you never will) to a vast, gleaming display of showerheads, sinks, and bath tanks, Simon’s broad inventory showcases imported and domestic hardware for the home. Between the two areas, find a huge display of kitchen cabinets, locks, door fixtures, decorative hardware (like engraved knobs and refrigerator pulls) and even some shiny power tools. Given the giant range of products—10,000 knobs alone—it’s hard to leave Simon’s empty-handed.Extra
