Designer Joanna Baum’s second boutique offers her signature hand-washed silk dresses and a smattering of accessories. The spare, white-walled shop touts some quirky touches that complement the stock, like vintage luggage bearing jewelry. Baum’s softly sexy, feminine line sports sleek silhouettes, often embellished with ruffles, sashes, or neckline detailing. Most off-the-rack pieces come in navy, black, or other subdued hues, but any dress can be custom-ordered in twenty-odd shades, including striking deep emerald or bright ruby. There are also some more casual pieces, like cotton shirtdresses and short shorts. Baum also creates a small jewelry line, with youthful day-to-night bracelets and necklaces (like the Marcella, which mixes silver and gold with suede). Beyond clothing, the store also carries vintage-inspired handbags and clutches from CHîa, a small selection of shoes, and bath products from elizabethW.
