Something Else has satellite branches on Smith Street and Fifth Avenue in Brooklyn, but the Bensonhurst original is still the biggest and a favorite of hip, young locals. Here, you’ll find 6,000 square feet of shoes, clothes, handbags, sunglasses, and accessories at prices a touch lower than similar gear at Bloomingdale's. Reliably cool mainstream labels make up the majority of the stock: think Ben Sherman button-downs and urban-casual Triple 5 Soul zip-ups for men or Juicy Couture shoes and G-Star tops for women. There’s also a wide variety of glitzy designer sunglasses, and handbags fill any spare shelf space. The collection of shoes (for women only) is extensive enough to fill an entirely separate store; Uggs, Blowfish, Miz Mooz brands are the most popular, in styles from casual boots to evening heels.
