Profile
Established in 1927, the flea-market-esque Strand is the largest, cheapest secondhand-book store in town. It now claims to have eighteen miles of books and growing—a second floor dedicated to art books has opened. There is everything from current fiction to old cookbooks and art tomes. The rare-book section (which closes at 6:30 pm daily) is larger than most used-book shops.
